Montilivi Stadium has once again been proposed as a suitable stage for Lamine Yamal to regain his brilliance, having previously shone there in a Barcelona jersey, scoring one of his two official braces with the first team, as reported by the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo'.

Last season, when coach Hans Flick decided to substitute Yamal in injury time, the young player received applause from a section of the Montilivi fans after a remarkable and distinguished performance.

Yamal returns to the same stadium on Monday, where he had previously scored a brace leading Barcelona to victory over Girona. The first goal came after half an hour, following his interception of the ball from David López before shooting into Gazzaniga’s net, and he added the second goal seven minutes later with a direct shot from the edge of the penalty area after a cross from Raphinha.

That was his second brace for the first team, having scored his first in the previous season during a 3-3 draw against Granada at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. He also scored another brace with the Spanish national team against France in the semi-finals of the Youth League, in a match that ended with Spain winning 5-4.

In the Metropolitano Stadium encounter against Atlético Madrid, Yamal's goal-scoring streak, which extended for five consecutive matches, came to a halt in a match characterized by defensive intensity, where he found himself closely marked by Ruggeri, supported by continuous defensive assistance.

Despite this, his numbers this season affirm his great value, as he has scored 15 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions, with a goal contribution rate of 0.94 per match, surpassing his rate from last season of 0.77. Specifically in La Liga, the rate rises to 1.02 goal contributions per match.

Among players in the top five leagues who have played more than 900 minutes in the league, Yamal ranks ninth. He has played five matches against Girona, starting in four of them, during which he scored two goals and provided three assists, making Montilivi a promising station for his return to brilliance.
