Fernando Hidalgo, the agent of Argentine player Julián Álvarez, clarified that the Atlético Madrid forward has not had any contact with any potential candidate for the presidency of FC Barcelona, denying all reports that mentioned the Catalan team's interest in the player's services for the upcoming 2025/2026 season, according to media sources from the "WinWin" platform.

Hidalgo told journalist "Mr. Nabawi": "We have never spoken with any candidate for the presidency of Barcelona, and everything said in this regard is untrue. Julian is under contract with Atletico Madrid until 2030, and anyone wishing to sign him should contact the club directly, not us."

The agent's statements come at a time when attention is focused on the potential departure of Robert Lewandowski, despite Ferran Torres' outstanding performance in the attack line. Hidalgo confirmed that Atletico is not planning to sell the player urgently and that any price for the contract termination clause far exceeds his market value, with figures being discussed around 100 million euros.

On the other hand, the English Premier League is closely monitoring the player, who has played 103 matches and scored 36 goals with Manchester City, but he has not become a regular starter due to strong competition with Erling Haaland.
