The Italian club AC Milan officially announced the renewal of their goalkeeper and team captain Mike Maignan's contract until June 30, 2031, in a move that reflects the management's great confidence in the French goalkeeper's abilities and his pivotal role within the team in recent years.

Since joining the Rossoneri in the summer of 2021, Maignan has established himself as one of the key players in the lineup thanks to his leadership qualities, consistent performance, and fighting spirit on the field, which earned him the captain's armband and made him an essential member of the French national team as well.

Maignan played 188 matches in a Milan jersey across various competitions and directly contributed to the team's victory in the Italian league title in the 2021-2022 season, as well as winning the Italian Super Cup in 2024. On an individual level, he was awarded the Best Goalkeeper in the Italian League during the title-winning season.
