Arteta: Happy with Havertz's Return, This is Hard to Achieve
Thursday 29-01-2026
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta appeared in a press conference following the 3-2 victory over Kairat at the Emirates Stadium, concluding the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

The coach said, "Especially in this tournament, we are in the position we wanted. We won eight out of eight matches, which is very difficult to achieve, so I commend the players for what they have done. We close this chapter now and shift our focus to other tournaments."

On the importance of Havertz's return: "We immediately realized how much we missed him. What he offers to the team, his creativity, the way he connects play with his teammates, and his instinct in front of the goal as well, so we are very happy with his return."

Regarding finishing the league in first place: "This gives you some advantages, such as playing two fewer matches and having the home advantage in the second leg of the next round. Now we have to wait to find out our opponent in the upcoming stage, and we will prepare for it with great enthusiasm because it's a tournament we really love."

He concluded regarding making 11 changes to the lineup: "It doesn't matter who we field, we can maintain the same level. We are not satisfied with the way we conceded the two goals, but the truth is that the result should have been completely different considering the number of chances and shots we created. We close this match, well done, guys, and we continue on our path."
