Kane Explains Reasons for Bayern's First League Defeat
Saturday 24-01-2026
English star Harry Kane commented on Bayern Munich's loss to their guest Augsburg with a score of 1-2, in the match that brought the two teams together within the 19th round of the German Bundesliga, marking the Bavarian team's first defeat in the Bundesliga this season.

Kane said that Bayern Munich had a good first half and deserved to be ahead, noting that the team had opportunities to decide the match early, but the final touch and decisive pass were not at the required level, in addition to the brilliance of Augsburg's goalkeeper who saved several dangerous attempts.

The Bayern striker added that being ahead by only one goal always keeps the match open, emphasizing that any team can be punished in such circumstances, which indeed happened, as the team lacked energy in the second half and was not as fluid as usual in ball possession, while praising Augsburg's pressure that made things difficult.

Kane concluded his statements by confirming that the pressure and frequency of matches recently had a clear impact, but he stressed that football waits for no one, and the focus will now quickly shift to the UEFA Champions League.
