Al-Zawraa Club successfully resolved the issue of the replacement player in midfield after officially agreeing on the transfer of their young star Haider Abdulkarim to Al-Nassr Saudi Club during the current transfer window, in a step aimed at maintaining the team's technical balance locally and continentally.

The Al-Nawaris management reached a full agreement with Al-Nassr management, agreeing to sell Haider Abdulkarim for a financial amount of 500 thousand dollars, with Al-Zawraa retaining 15% of the value of any future transfer of the player, in a deal considered one of the most prominent deals of the season in the Iraqi league.

According to special sources, Al-Zawraa’s management finalized an agreement with midfielder Alexander Orah to represent the team in the Iraqi Stars League and AFC Champions League 2 competitions, where his international transfer card is expected to arrive in the coming days after he mutually terminates his contract with Queens Park Rangers English club.

The sources added that the Al-Nawaris management quickly intensified their moves after completing Abdulkarim’s deal and studied several names available in the transfer market before Orah’s name was presented to the management, which gave immediate approval due to his high technical abilities, in addition to his young age of 23 years, making him an important investment for the team in the upcoming phase.

The sources confirmed that Orah expressed great enthusiasm to join Al-Zawraa, considering this step an important opportunity to reintroduce himself, especially since he has been followed by the Iraqi national team coach, Australian Graham Arnold, for some time, but irregular playing conditions, along with his previous commitment to the Iraqi Olympic team led by Emad Mohammed, prevented his call-up in previous stages.

The sources indicated that the player also looks forward to participating in the AFC Champions League 2 wearing Al-Zawraa’s jersey, considering it an important platform to showcase his abilities, especially since this tournament was a main reason for Haider Abdulkarim’s move to the Saudi league. Orah hopes to regain his technical level after a period of decline due to his participation with Queens Park Rangers’ reserve team.
