Hossam Fawzi: We Are Now Rebuilding Trust and Our Goal is to Win Against Al-Naft

Prior to Al-Zawraa's match against Al-Naft in the 37th round of the Iraqi Stars League, a press conference was held where the coaching staff and players revealed the preparation details for the match, which coincides with the night of Eid al-Adha at Al-Zawraa Stadium.

Coach Hossam Fawzi emphasized that the current phase aims to rebuild trust within the group after the team officially lost the chance to compete for top positions. He stated that the work in recent days focused more on the psychological aspect than the technical one, to lift the players from the state of frustration following the loss to Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.

Fawzi confirmed his great confidence in the available players, and that the goal is to deliver a performance befitting the club's emblem regardless of the team's position in the standings. He added that the presence of fans in the stands will be an additional incentive to raise the level of focus and enthusiasm, noting that the support from the white stands always makes a difference in such matches.

Regarding the lineup, the coach explained that the match will be played with the ready names, giving an opportunity to some reserve players who have been promoted to the first team. He considered this step part of a future vision to involve young elements and give them the chance to experience real competitive atmospheres before the new season.

For his part, team player Murad Mohammed spoke about the morale inside the locker room, confirming that the players have not lost the desire to play and win despite being out of the competition circle. He said the goal is clear: to achieve victory and defend Al-Zawraa's emblem under any circumstance.

Mohammed pointed out that the players feel a great responsibility towards the club and the fans who have stood by the team throughout the season, even in times of setback. He added that wearing Al-Zawraa's jersey means fighting until the last minute, and this message will be carried by every player when entering the field.
