Wednesday 27-05-2026
Jordanian midfielder Amer Jamous officially announced the end of his journey with Al-Zawraa Club, after spending one season with the team on loan from Al-Wehdat Club. The decision coincided with his call-up to join the Jordanian national team's training camp in preparation for participating in the 2026 World Cup finals.

Jamous joined Al-Zawraa from Al-Wehdat on a one-season loan contract and quickly established himself as a key option for the coaching staff in midfield. He played 19 matches for Al-Zawraa in the Iraqi Stars League, scoring one goal and assisting two others, while performing dual roles between defensive construction and offensive support.

On the continental level, Jamous had a notable presence in the AFC Champions League 2, where he scored two goals and assisted one, contributing to the team's advancement to the later stages of the competition. These statistics made him one of the most influential professionals in the Al-Zawraa lineup during the season, despite the team not succeeding in competing for the title.

The player published a farewell message addressed to Al-Zawraa fans, the coaching staff, and his teammates, thanking everyone for their support during his time in Baghdad. He confirmed that his experience with the prestigious Iraqi club was an important milestone in his career, highlighting the respect and appreciation he received from everyone inside and outside the club.

For Jamous, the priority now is to prepare with the Jordanian national team for their first-ever participation in the World Cup in the history of Jordanian football. The World Cup participation will be a pivotal moment in his career and may open new doors for him in terms of international professional opportunities after the camp concludes.
