Roma targets Tottenham duo
La Gazzetta dello Sport confirmed that AS Roma has entered into negotiations to acquire Radu Dragusin and Mattis Thil on loan from Tottenham during the current winter transfer window.
The newspaper pointed out that the players are dissatisfied with their current situation at Tottenham and are seeking more playing time in the second half of the season. Dragusin has given his approval to move to Roma on loan, but Tottenham's management insists on including an option to buy as part of the deal.
Roma is looking to strengthen its defensive lineup after Mario Hermoso was injured in the last Serie A match against Torino. Previously, the club signed forwards Rubén Blanco from Marseille and Donyell Malen from Aston Villa, and is currently negotiating with Fiorentina to acquire Niccolò Fortini.
The same source added that Roma also offered player Stephan El Shaarawy to Fiorentina as part of the proposed deal, in a move to strengthen the team’s squad and continue reinforcing the lineup during January.
