El-Dardir: Egypt Will Reach the World Cup Semifinals Under This Condition
Sports critic Amr El-Dardir said that the Egyptian national team can reach the World Cup semifinals if Hossam Hassan, the Pharaohs' coach, improves the team's attack.
Al-Dardir said on Facebook: "On the occasion of the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations, the way Hossam Hassan played, winning against South Africa with 10 players, beating the defending champions Ivory Coast, and losing to Senegal, the tournament champions, due to a stray ball and issues with our offensive transitions..."
He added: "If Hossam Hassan can work and develop this method offensively from now until June, the Egyptian national team could reach the World Cup semi-finals... and I'm serious here, not joking."
The Egyptian national team finished in fourth place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
