According to Marca, Barcelona posted the news of Cancelo's return to their ranks on social media at 2:21 PM Egypt time, before adding details a few minutes later on their official website, including the player wearing the number 2 jersey, alongside posting a video featuring his highlights. Cancelo himself also posted a message on his Instagram account announcing his return to the Spotify Camp Nou stadium.

However, just before 3 PM Egypt time, followers were surprised to see Barcelona and Cancelo delete all posts related to the deal, which raised widespread questions. Marca clarified that the reason was not the cancellation of the deal but an ongoing administrative procedure involving the incomplete signing of a final document with the Saudi club Al Hilal.

The report indicated that Barcelona had already sent the required document and was awaiting final approval from Al Hilal. Unusually, not all documents had been completed beforehand, as the signing took place directly inside the club's offices, where Barcelona officials realized some papers were still missing, which necessitated temporarily deleting the announcements.

According to Marca, Cancelo has been at FC Barcelona's offices at Spotify Camp Nou since 2 PM Egypt time, where he was scheduled to sign his contract at that time, with an official presentation planned for 2:30 PM Egypt time. However, no new date has been set yet for the official announcement of the deal or for his first appearance giving statements as a Barcelona player.
