Hossam Hassan succeeded in activating the clause to extend his contract with the Football Association after leading the national team to a 3-2 victory over Ivory Coast this evening and qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations semifinals, thereby securing his position as head coach of the Pharaohs.
The Egyptian national team will face the Senegalese national team next Wednesday in the Africa Cup of Nations semifinal.
The match between Egypt and Senegal kicks off at 7:00 PM Cairo time and 8:00 PM Mecca time.
