Al-Ittihad Decides the Fate of the Team's Quartet in the Winter Transfer Window
Friday 09-01-2026
Trusted journalist Ben Jacobs revealed important details about the future of Al-Ittihad's quartet, led by the French players Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté, along with the Serbian Karlo Simic and the Saudi Abdulrahman Al-Aboud.

Ben Jacobs confirmed, through his official account on the "X" platform, that the Al-Ittihad management does not intend to make major changes or let go of key players during the current winter transfer window.

He explained that the cases of Benzema and Kanté are likely to be discussed next summer, noting that both players feel comfortable with the Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição.

He indicated that Conceição is satisfied with his current players, but he does not mind adding new Saudi names to strengthen the lineup in the upcoming phase.

On the other hand, he pointed out that the Serbian Jan Carlo Simic has attracted the attention of clubs from the American and Russian leagues, and he may leave despite joining in September for 21 million pounds sterling.

The Al-Ittihad management has finalized its stance on Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, deciding to put him up for sale due to repeated disciplinary issues, while currently working on finding an appropriate solution.

It is worth noting that Al-Aboud is serving a disciplinary penalty imposed by the technical staff, which caused him to miss Al-Ittihad's matches against Al-Shabab, Neom, and Al-Taawoun.
