Al-Shorta Overwhelms Al-Qasim with Seven Goals in Stars League

Al-Shorta team achieved a sweeping victory over Al-Qasim with a score of seven goals to one, in the match that brought them together within the eleventh round of the Iraqi Stars League, at Al-Najaf International Stadium, in a game that witnessed absolute dominance by the Green Orchestra both in performance and result.

Al-Qasim surprised their guest Al-Shorta with an early goal signed by Mohammed Ali in the fourth minute, but Al-Shorta's response came quickly, as their Syrian star Mahmoud Al-Mawas managed to equalize in the tenth minute, restoring balance to the match and giving his team an early morale boost.

Al-Shorta continued their pressure and control over the course of the game, successfully translating their superiority into a second goal during the first half's injury time, scored by Ahmed Farhan at 45+1 minutes, ending the first half with the Green Orchestra leading two goals to one.

In the second half, Al-Shorta imposed their full rhythm on the match, with Cameroonian Lionel Atiaba adding the third goal in the 65th minute, before returning just four minutes later to score the fourth goal in the 69th minute, confirming his team's dominance.

The goal festival did not stop there, as Dominic Mendy scored the fifth goal in the 72nd minute, amid a clear collapse in Al-Qasim's ranks, while Ahmed Farhan added the sixth goal in the 88th minute.

Before the final whistle, Sharif Abdul-Kadhim concluded the goal fest by scoring the seventh goal in the 90+2 minute, confirming one of the biggest results of the season in favor of Al-Shorta.

With this wide victory, Al-Shorta raised their tally to 21 points, occupying second place in the standings, while Al-Qasim's points remained at just one in twentieth and last place, continuing their struggles at the bottom of the table.
