Thursday 08-01-2026
During the current winter transfer window, Al-Shabab Club has taken steps to strengthen its squad with outstanding local players, having identified a player from Al-Ittihad Club as a target to reinforce the midfield before the season resumes.

According to the Saudi 360 website, Al-Shabab Club has submitted an official offer to Al-Ittihad's management to acquire midfielder Faisal Al-Ghamdi on a six-month loan, in a move aimed at strengthening the team with a young player who has good local experience.

Youth officials see Faisal Al-Ghamdi as an important technical addition, especially since he is considered one of the prominent local names in the Al-Ittihad squad, despite not being a regular starter this season, often participating as an alternative option in the midfield.

Al-Ghamdi began his career with Al-Ettifaq's youth team before being promoted to the first team in 2021. He then transferred to Al-Ittihad in 2023 and had a brief professional stint on loan with Belgian club Berskout.

The player has participated in 43 matches wearing the Al-Ittihad jersey across various competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists. This season, he has played in 12 matches, scoring one goal and assisting another. Al-Ittihad's management is expected to finalize their decision regarding his loan in the coming days.
