Akor Adams, star of the Nigerian national team, believes that his country can win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.

The Nigerian national team succeeded in qualifying for the quarterfinals of the tournament after defeating Mozambique 4-0 in the round of 16.

Adams said in statements to "On Sport 2" channel: "All the national team players have a high level of mental focus to achieve the best results during the Africa Cup of Nations competition."

He added: "We have moved past the disappointment of not qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, even though we expected our performance to be better, and the Nigerian fans were expecting more from us. It is sad to miss out on a World Cup spot, but now we are participating in the Africa Cup of Nations, and we must make the most of this tournament. To achieve that, we need to win match after match."

Accor Adams continued: "For us, the priority is to be at our strongest possible to win as many matches as possible, and we will see what happens in the end."

Regarding his predictions for the teams qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations semifinals, Adams said: "Definitely Nigeria, the host country Morocco, the Egyptian team, and the Senegalese team. I believe Nigeria will be in the final, and we are confident in our ability to win the title."
