Al-Balushi: Egypt National Team Strong Contender to Reach the Farthest Stage in the Africa Cup of Nations
Sports commentator Khalil Al-Balushi believes that the Egyptian national team can reach the farthest possible stage in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egypt national team will face the Benin national team tomorrow, Monday, in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Al-Balushi said on "On Sport FM" radio: "The Egyptian national team is a strong contender to reach the farthest stage in the Africa Cup of Nations, as it clearly shows great spirit in Morocco, unlike in the last two tournaments."
He added: "Coaching the Egypt national team is a very difficult task and requires special qualities. Hossam Hassan succeeded in leading Egypt to the 2026 World Cup, and the evaluation should not be done in isolation."
Continue: "The Football Association signed Hossam Hassan with the goal of reaching the World Cup, and he indeed succeeded in this mission. Numbers and results are always the standard for judging any coach."
He concluded his statements: "Morocco is a strong contender to win the Africa Cup of Nations, given the home advantage and the support of the fans. The capabilities of the Atlas Lions cannot be ignored, and the elimination of Tunisia and Sudan is a significant loss for Arab football."
