Manchester United coach Rúben Amorim appeared in a press statement following the 1-1 draw against Leeds United in the 20th round of the Premier League.

The coach said in his speech: "I think we played well. I believe we controlled the flow of the game more than we did against Wolverhampton. This is important because it shows how we can prepare for this week by learning from the mistakes of the previous match. We controlled Leeds, both in set pieces and counterattacks, as they are very fast in attack. We managed the game well."

He added: "We had opportunities to win the match. Sometimes we lose games because of small details – like the goal by Leeds. We were controlling the match, then we missed an easy chance on a counterattack, but we managed to get back into the game. Last year, the situation was completely different. This year, we control matches better than we did last year, but we feel frustrated for not securing the win."

Regarding Leeds' goal: "Aiden and Lenny are young Euros, but that's not the reason. When you play well for the full 90 minutes and then make a mistake, it's understandable. If we look at the match, we had chances to score a second goal, and then no one would be talking about Leeds' goal."

He continued about Konya: "Not only him, but Josh [Zirkzee] also gave a good performance during the twenty minutes he played, and Ben [Csikszentmihalyi] linked up the play excellently today. O'Gara shows that he is capable of delivering more, and I am very happy. If these players perform well, we will always be able to win the match."

He concluded about the winter transfer window: "United is one of the best clubs in the world. If you are here and focusing on another club, then something is wrong. Just focus on the match and prepare with the players we have. We also have more; I expect Fernandes and Mount to return in the next round, so we have more players who can help us."
