Al-Ittihad Club revealed, through an official statement issued today, Wednesday, the details of the injury sustained by the team's midfielder Faisal Al-Ghamdi, which caused his absence from the squad for the match against NEOM in the Saudi Pro League.

The statement clarified that Faisal Al-Ghamdi sustained an injury during his participation in the match between Al-Ittihad and Uzbekistan's Nasaf in the AFC Champions League Elite tournament, which ended with the "Jeddah Tigers" winning 1-0 on December 23. The player left the match due to the injury.

Medical examinations conducted on the player at the International Medical Center revealed an injury to the hamstring of his left thigh, which requires him to undergo a special treatment and rehabilitation program during the current period.

The club indicated that Faisal Al-Ghamdi has already begun his treatment program at the medical clinic of Al-Ittihad Club, in preparation for his return to group training once he has fully recovered, according to the team's medical staff assessment.
