Guardiola: Ready to face Sunderland, and this is the team's condition
Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, spoke about the upcoming match against Sunderland in the 19th round of the English Premier League, scheduled to take place next Thursday.
Manchester City occupies second place in the English Premier League table with 40 points, while Sunderland is in seventh place with 28 points.
Regarding the team's readiness and injuries, Guardiola said: "The team is ready for the match. Rodri has fully recovered from his injury and might be able to play for a few minutes, as well as Jeremy Doku, while John Stones and Oscar Bob are not ready at the moment."
Regarding the match against Sunderland, he added: "We faced Sunderland a few weeks ago, and they are having an exceptional season. The team has made 14 new signings, and it's not easy to bring all that together in a short time, but they have indeed succeeded."
Regarding the team's condition and lineup, he explained: "We are not at our best due to the tight schedule and match congestion, but in terms of points, we are better compared to last season."
Regarding Semedo's future, he commented: "The transfer window is currently closed, so I cannot talk about anything related to Semedo or any other player."
Regarding the year 2025 and the current season, Guardiola concluded his remarks: "We are in good health and good spirits, and 2025 has been great so far. The season cannot be judged solely by winning the title or not; there are more important things in life, and the most important thing is to give our best."
