Portuguese midfielder Vitinha, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain and the Portuguese national team, revealed the player who has been his greatest source of inspiration throughout his football career, in statements reported by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."

Vitinha, who was awarded the Best Midfielder in the World for 2025 at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, said: "Without a doubt, the player who has inspired me more than anyone else is Andrés Iniesta; he has always been my greatest role model."

He continued: "Next comes Luka Modrić, of course, as both represent the perfect model of a midfielder."

Regarding his current situation with Paris Saint-Germain, the team's star said: "I am very happy at Paris Saint-Germain. We have won almost everything. There is no player who is indispensable in this team; we are one group."

He continued: "We have proven that we are capable of continuing to win and compete even in the absence of a large number of players."

He added: "If anyone can be described as indispensable, it is either everyone or no one."

Vitinha also spoke about his coach Luis Enrique, saying: "There are many details we work on daily, and we know very well what is expected of us, but one thing that can never be overlooked with Luis Enrique is commitment."

He concluded his statements by saying: "In this particular aspect, no player is allowed to let him down."
