Monday 29-12-2025
German Matthias Jaissle, head coach of Al-Ahli Jeddah, talked about the fluctuating performance level of the team, pointing out the difference in performance between the AFC Champions League and the Roshn Saudi League in the recent period.

Jaissle explained in the press conference that the match against Al-Fateh witnessed numbers and performance that were sufficient to secure full points, confirming that the real crisis was represented in the lack of decisiveness and the final touch in front of the goal.

The Al-Ahli coach confirmed that the absence of international players had a clear impact on the team, but at the same time he emphasized not to use this as an excuse for the loss, pointing out his confidence in the rest of the squad members.

He indicated that the first half was ideal in terms of control and creating chances, before Al-Fateh exploited a mistake from a throw-in to score their goal, which changed the course of the match.

He added that the beginning of the second half witnessed another defensive error that cost the team a new goal, making it difficult to come back in the result, despite continuous attempts to adjust the course.

Jaissle commented on the repeated mistakes of player Mateo Dams, clarifying that he does not hold any single player responsible, confirming that the instructions apply to all players without exception.

Al-Ahli team continues its preparations to face Al-Fayha, scheduled for next Tuesday evening, as part of the eleventh round of the Roshn Saudi Professional League.
