Chelsea star Reece James appeared in a press interview following the 2-1 loss against Aston Villa in the eighteenth round of the English Premier League.

The player said: "I believe that losing on our home ground is always frustrating. We controlled the flow of the match for 60 or 65 minutes. In the first 60 minutes, they didn't create any chances, then they got one opportunity, and after that, the course of the game changed."

He added: "I believe we started the match with strength and enthusiasm, according to our plan. We wanted to play an attacking style, but in the second half, a moment or two changed the course of the game. They regained control, and it became difficult."

He emphasized: "They made some changes. The lineup may have changed a bit, but nothing we can't handle. We have faced them many times and understand their style of play, but I think we need to review our performance. We wanted to win, but we didn't achieve that, and we feel very disappointed."

He concluded: "The ball should have been prevented from entering the net. It's as simple as that. We made one or two mistakes. One led to a corner kick, and the other to Watkins' initial goal, so I believe we take responsibility. Two mistakes on our part, and we paid the price. This is the toughest league in the world."
