Cherki: We knew the difficulty of the match, and scoring goals is not my role
Manchester City star Ryan Cherki appeared in a press statement after the 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the eighteenth round of the English Premier League.
The French star said in his statement: "We knew that the Nottingham match would be very tough because Forest is a very strong team. We are very proud of the victory."
He added: "I know my abilities well. I made a great pass to Tijani Renders, and his finishing was perfect. I am very proud of the team because our win today is very important."
He continued: "When you come here, you know that Nottingham Forest is a great team with many outstanding players. I am very proud to have scored a goal for my team because the season is very long and we desperately need every point."
Regarding his second goal in the English Premier League with Manchester City, he said: "I always want to score goals, but this isn't my role. Erling is here for that! I want to provide good assists for my teammates, and I’m very proud of that."
