Gabonese Refereeing Team to Officiate Tunisia's Opening Match in CAN Morocco
The African Football Confederation has appointed a Gabonese refereeing team to officiate the Tunisian national team's first match in the Africa Cup of Nations finals "Morocco 2025," which will be held against Uganda next Tuesday.
The match will be officiated by Gabonese referee Tangui Patrice Mbiya, assisted by his compatriots Boris Ditsouga and Aban Ndong, while the role of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) has been assigned to Pierre Atcho, assisted by Cameroonian Elvis Ngongo.
The match will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, which has a capacity of about 22,000 spectators, on Tuesday, December 23, starting at 10:00 PM.
The Tunisian national team is participating in the group stage of the competition in Group C, which also includes the teams of Uganda, Nigeria, and Tanzania. The "Carthage Eagles" aim to achieve a strong start to boost their chances of advancing to the next round.
