Lemouchi Reveals Details of His Dismissal from Tunisia

French-Tunisian coach Sabri Lamouchi revealed shocking details about the way he was dismissed from his role with the Tunisian national team following a 5-0 defeat to Sweden at the start of the 2026 World Cup. He emphasized that he did not receive any proper treatment from the Tunisian Football Federation.

Lemošhi stated that after the match, he returned with the team to the hotel, and only about two hours later was he officially informed of his dismissal, adding: "No one even said goodbye to me."

The coach revealed that he discovered, before being informed of the decision, that federation officials had met with the players and informed them of the identity of the new coach. He noted that he was on the plane with them and commented: "At that moment, I told myself that they didn't waste any time making this happen."

Lamouchi concluded his statements by emphasizing that he did not receive any support from the Tunisian Federation throughout the tournament, saying: "I did not receive any support from the Football Federation at all during the tournament."
