Renard Announces Departure from Tunisia National Team

French coach Hervé Renard has officially announced his departure from the Tunisia national team, delivering an emotional farewell message following the end of the "Carthage Eagles" journey in the 2026 World Cup.

In his message, Renard stated: "Before I leave, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Tunisian Football Federation for giving me the opportunity to participate in the 2026 World Cup. It was an honor for me to wear the colors of Tunisia and to experience this unforgettable journey."

He added: "I wish all the best for this Tunisian team in the future. I am convinced that it will continue to develop, bring joy to an entire nation, and write beautiful chapters in its history."

Renard continued: "Thank you to everyone who accompanied me throughout this adventure, and I wish you much success in what lies ahead. My adventure has come to an end."

Renard took over as head coach of the Tunisian national team during the World Cup, succeeding coach Mondher Kebaier, who was dismissed after a heavy 5-1 loss to Sweden in the opening round of the group stage.

The Tunisian national team exited the 2026 World Cup in the group stage, marking the end of Renard's brief tenure with the "Carthage Eagles."
