After World Cup Disappointment, Mounir Chaabani Appointed New Tunisia Coach
Following a meeting held today at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Tunisia, Tunisian coach Moïne Chaâbani has been appointed as the new head coach of the national team, succeeding Frenchman Hervé Renard after the "Carthage Eagles" were eliminated in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
According to reports, crucial progress has been made in the negotiations in recent hours, following communications with officials from Moroccan club RS Berkane to resolve the issue of the release clause in Chabani's contract, before reaching a final agreement on the contract duration and sporting objectives for the upcoming phase.
The Tunisian Football Federation is expected to officially announce the appointment in the coming hours, as Shaaban begins his task of rebuilding the national team and preparing for upcoming continental and international challenges.
