Tunisia National Team Appoints Moein Chaabani

The Tunisian Football Federation has officially appointed Moïne Chaâbani as the head coach of the national team, with a contract lasting four years, to lead the "Eagles of Carthage" during the upcoming phase until 2030.

The appointment of Chabani comes after a period of changes in the technical staff of the national team, which began with the dismissal of coach Sabri Lamouchi following the heavy defeat against Sweden, with a score of 5-1 in the first round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

Following the departure of Lamouchi, the Tunisian Football Federation turned to French coach Hervé Renard in an attempt to salvage the national team's campaign. However, his mission also ended in failure as Tunisia could not progress beyond the group stage, leading the federation to decide to terminate his contract.

The Tunisian Football Federation is relying on the extensive experience of Maïen Chabani, both at the local and continental levels, to rebuild the national team and lead it back to strong competition in continental tournaments and qualification for the next World Cup.
