El-Khatib Rejects Al-Ahly's Contract with Zamalek Duo
Saturday 20-12-2025
The newspaper "Al-Watan" reported that Mahmoud El-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly, refuses to sign contracts with Hossam Abdel-Meguid and Mohamed El-Sayed because they are still under contract with Zamalek.

The newspaper confirmed that Al Ahly club management tested the interest of Mohamed El-Sayed, a Zamalek player, through some intermediaries, given that his contract with the team expires at the end of the current season, as well as Hossam Abdel-Meguid, whose contract lasts until the end of the next season.

Mohamed El-Sayed requested a contract grant worth 5 million pounds to extend his contract with Zamalek, but this was rejected by the club's management.

Zamalek's management did not enter into negotiations to renew Hossam Abdel Meguid's contract due to the financial crisis the club is facing, and they have opened the door to selling him next January.
