Al-Ahli Saudi Club is planning to make a significant change to its roster of foreign players by taking a decisive step regarding the future of Belgian player Mateo Dams during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Yaum" revealed that Al-Ahli's management has included Matteo Dams on the list of players available for transfer, in preparation for his departure with the opening of the winter registration window.

This move came as part of Al-Ahli's swift efforts to finalize the deal for the Brazilian Ricardo Matias, the Internacional striker, which is now close to being officially completed.

Brazilian press reports indicated that Al Ahly is close to signing Ricardo Matias for $10 million, in a deal aimed at strongly reinforcing the forward line.

Matteo Dams joined Al Ahly on January 29th, coming from the Dutch club Eindhoven, for a fee of 9 million euros, as part of this season's reinforcements.

The Belgian defender participated in 13 matches with Al Ahly this season without scoring any goals, while only providing two assists, which prompted the management to reassess his continuation with the team.
