Abdel Jalil: Zamalek Board Responsible for Registration Suspension in Chico Banza Case
Mohamed Abdel Jalil, former star of Egyptian football, commented on Zamalek's registration ban being imposed for the seventh time due to the expiration of the legal deadline to pay the dues owed to the Portuguese club Estrela Amadora, related to the transfer deal of player Chico Banza to the White Club.
Abdel Jalil said on the program "Number One" on CBC channel: "The Zamalek board is responsible for the suspension of registrations related to the Chico Banza case because they changed the club’s operating system, brought in John Edward, let go of the club’s own players, and in the end, the same result continues—crises and problems."
He added: "Any player approached by Al Ahly, Zamalek, or Pyramids would not choose Zamalek under the current circumstances, due to the problems and crises the club is going through, in addition to the lack of trophies."
He emphasized: "Football without Zamalek has no flavor in Egypt, and its presence is a key element in the strength of competition and enjoyment."
