Cruciate Ligament Injury Strikes Al-Shabab and Adds to Their Suffering
Friday 12-12-2025
Al-Shabab Club suffered a severe blow after it was confirmed that their player Mohammed Harboush has torn his anterior cruciate ligament, ruling him out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season and leaving a clear gap in the right-back position.

The club announced on the "X" platform that 22-year-old Harboush has been injured, confirming that medical examinations revealed he needs to undergo surgery followed by an extensive treatment and rehabilitation program at a specialized medical center.

Harboush is considered one of the young players who emerged with the team this season, having participated in only three matches: two in the Saudi Roshn League and one in the King’s Cup before he got injured.

This news comes at a time when the Saudi league is paused due to the national team's participation in the Arab Cup tournament held in Qatar from December 1 to 18, giving the coaching staff an opportunity to reorganize before the competitions resume.

Harboush's injury reflects the difficult phase that the team is going through, as the youth squad suffers from a lack of defensive depth, especially given their poor results in the recent rounds of the current season.

The team occupies the thirteenth position in the standings with only 8 points, earned from a single victory and five draws, alongside three defeats in the first nine rounds, increasing the pressure on the management and coaching staff to find quick solutions.
