Inzaghi Decides on Foreign Players and Excludes an Unexpected Name Before Youth Derby
Italian Simone Inzaghi, the coach of Al-Hilal Saudi Club, has finalized his selection of the eight foreign players who will participate in the match against Al-Shabab as part of the Saudi Professional League (Roshn Saudi League) competition.
Al-Hilal is preparing to face Al-Shabab on Friday evening in the 24th round of the Roshan League, in a match where the Blue team aims to strengthen its position in the race for the top spot.
The list of foreigners included Moroccan Yassine Bounou, Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly, Frenchmen Theo Hernandez and Simon Bouabre, Serbian Sergej Savic, Portuguese Ruben Neves, in addition to Brazilians Malcom and Marcos Leonardo.
The list saw the exclusion of French striker Mohamed Kader Meite by a technical decision, despite his recent return to group training after recovering from muscle pain that had kept him out in the past period.
Inzaghi is relying on the Brazilian Marcos Leonardo to lead the front line against Al-Shabab, to compensate for the absence of the Frenchman Karim Benzema, who is continuing to recover from an adductor muscle injury.
The match will be held at "SHG Arena" at 10:00 PM Saudi time. Al Hilal holds 55 points in second place, while Al Shabab is in twelfth place with 25 points.
