Portuguese player Bernardo Silva, captain of Manchester City, confirmed that the team is continuously developing and showing noticeable improvement day by day, ahead of their match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Bernardo said, "The team has improved a lot since the beginning of the season; we are getting better day by day."

He added, "It's true that our teams are always much better in the second half of the season than in the first, and we hope that will happen again this season."

He continued: "I don't think we are having a bad season, but in some matches, we did not perform as we should have."

He continued, saying: "We hope to reach the final stages with a team much better than it was in August and better than we are now."

He added: "We are playing much better compared to the first month before the first international break."

Bernardo explained: "In the first month, we won against Wolverhampton, then lost to Brighton and Tottenham in performances that were not acceptable for our level."

He added: "When you enter the international break with one win and two losses, it means you are not at the level of Manchester City."

He continued: "We are now just two points behind Arsenal in the English Premier League, in a good position in the Champions League, and the team is performing well."

He continued: "If you look at the last two months, I would say that in terms of points, we have performed excellently."

He also spoke about the changes within the team over the past few months, saying: "The club made the decision to change many players and give the team a new dynamic."

He added, "It is a different team, full of potential and energy."

He continued: "We are looking forward to a tough match."

He continued, saying: "We know how difficult it is to come to the Bernabéu. The feeling is good this season, even when the results haven't been as good as the performance."

He concluded his statements by saying: "We are very excited and looking forward to tomorrow's match; it is a good test."
