Saturday 06-12-2025
Salem Al-Dawsari, star and captain of the Saudi national team, commented on the "Falcons" group in the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, emphasizing that discussions about the World Cup are premature at this time.

The draw for the 2026 World Cup, held last Friday at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., placed the Saudi national team in a strong group alongside Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde, presenting significant challenges for the Green Falcons in their tournament journey.

Al-Dosari's statements came after his outstanding performance in the match against Comoros, where he led the Saudi national team to a 3-1 victory in the second round of the group stage of the Arab Cup, contributing one goal and two assists, securing the "Green Falcons" an official spot in the quarterfinals.

Salem Al-Dosari said after the match: "We achieved an important victory, and step by step we continue our journey in the Arab Cup. The fans always support us and give us motivation, and I thank them for their trust and support."

He added regarding the World Cup group: "Every incident has its own story. Our current focus is entirely on the Arab Championship, and when the time for the World Cup comes, each matter will be addressed accordingly."
