Al-Jafali Appeals to FIFA to Terminate His Contract with Zamalek
Thursday 04-12-2025
Tunisian player Ahmed Al-Jafali, who is on loan from Zamalek to the Saudi club Abha, has taken an official step towards terminating his contract with Zamalek, following an ongoing issue with his overdue payments that has worsened since the start of the current season.

The player has filed an official complaint with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) in the past few hours, demanding the termination of his contract and the payment of his overdue financial rights.

According to the Tunisian radio station "Diwan FM," Al-Jafali has not received the financial dues agreed upon in his loan contract to Abha, which prompted him to take legal action, especially after attempts at an amicable settlement with the Zamalek management failed.

The sources confirm that the player based his complaint on the terms of the loan contract, which the Egyptian club failed to comply with.

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) is expected to rule on the case within the next few weeks. It is anticipated that FIFA may decide to unilaterally terminate the contract if it is proven that Zamalek breached its financial obligations towards the player. In the event of contract termination, Jefali may return to play in the Tunisian league during the upcoming transfer window.

Ahmed El-Gefaly had joined Zamalek Club in the summer of 2025, coming from Union Monastirienne for $500,000. However, a muscle injury he sustained early in his time with the team significantly affected his participation and reduced his chances of appearing in the White’s lineup.
