Inter managed to open the scoring in the 18th minute through Andy Diouf, before Francesco Pio Esposito added the second goal just two minutes later, extending his team's lead. The attacking dominance continued until the 34th minute, when Marcus Thuram scored the third goal.

In the second half, Thuram continued his brilliance and added Inter Milan's fourth goal in the 51st minute, while Venessa managed to score their only goal through Richie Sagrado in the 66th minute, narrowing the gap without affecting the course of the match.

Fifteen minutes before the end, Angie Yowan Boni scored the fifth goal in the 76th minute, confirming Inter Milan's dominance and securing a well-deserved victory that qualified the team for the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.
