Official: Vinicius Signs Matias Moreno from Fiorentina

Venezia has officially announced the signing of Argentine defender Matias Moreno from Fiorentina on loan until the end of the 2026-2027 season, with an obligation to buy upon meeting certain conditions. Both clubs have confirmed the completion of the agreement officially.

According to the details of the deal, the loan is valued at €500,000, with Venice committed to purchasing the player for €5.5 million upon meeting the agreed conditions, which reports describe as relatively easy for the Italian club.

Fiorentina has retained 50% of the value of any future sale of Moreno as part of the agreement between the two clubs, allowing the 'Viola' to benefit financially from the player's transfer to another club in the future.

Moreno, 22, joined Fiorentina from Argentine club Belgrano, before spending last season on loan at Spanish side Levante.

Vinicius hopes that the arrival of the Argentine defender will provide a strong addition to the team's backline, after the player caught attention during his stint in Spain.
