Inter Agrees with Tottenham to Sign Romero, Player Awaits Barcelona

Journalist Gianluigi Longari has revealed that Inter Milan and Tottenham have reached a preliminary agreement for the transfer of Argentine defender Cristian Romero for €40 million, but the deal has not been finalized yet.

According to the report, Romero prefers to wait and see Barcelona's position before making his final decision, although he is also positively considering the idea of moving to Inter Milan during the current summer transfer window.

Longari indicated that negotiations are still ongoing, as a full agreement on salary, bonuses, and contract duration has yet to be reached with the player, delaying the completion of the deal at this moment.

Meanwhile, Barcelona continues to monitor the situation of the Argentine defender, but they can only move officially if one of their defenders leaves during the summer, primarily Ronald Araújo or Jules Koundé, to create space in the squad and the financial capability to complete the deal.

Romero is awaiting developments in the coming days before finalizing his future, with several clubs interested in his services. However, Barcelona remains the option he prioritizes if the opportunity to move to Camp Nou arises.
