Bilal Brahimi's Crisis at Brazilian Club Santos and Details of His Exclusion
Saturday 29-11-2025
The experience of Algerian international Bilal Brahimi with the Brazilian club Santos is heading towards a dead end, as signs increase that he is completely out of the coach's plans. This follows his failure to convince Argentine coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda since joining the team over two months ago on a free transfer after terminating his contract with French club Nice.

Brazilian media reports have indicated that Brahimi's situation is becoming increasingly complicated, as he is no longer considered a viable option by the coach, despite having had enough time to adapt. The website br.bolavip revealed that Voivoda is dissatisfied with the player's performance during training, which has led him to consistently exclude Brahimi from the team's matches, especially given the availability of better alternatives in his position, such as Rolhaizer, Barrial, and even Neymar.

The same sources, citing journalist Lucas Musetti on YouTube, explained that Brahimi is delivering an unconvincing performance in training and is clearly struggling with defensive duties. They added that his lack of pressing and ball-winning—unlike his competitors in the same position—has led the coach to prefer relying on other players who are tactically ready.

The numbers reveal the extent of the crisis faced by the Algerian player; he participated in only one match for 20 minutes against Bragantino on September 29, before missing 11 consecutive games, including the most recent match against Internacional in the 35th round of the Brazilian league.

With limited opportunities ahead of him within the team, the likelihood of Brahimi leaving during the upcoming winter transfer window appears strong, especially with the Brazilian season ending in December and the player's desire to find a new opportunity that restores his playing rhythm and revitalizes his professional career.
