Official: Santos announces signing of Coutinho

Santos FC have officially signed Philippe Coutinho, the former Liverpool and FC Barcelona star, on a free transfer. The contract will run until the end of 2026.

Santos FC stated in an official announcement: "The club has completed the signing of Philippe Coutinho for the remainder of the season."

The club announced that the midfielder joins the team due to his high technical skills and keen vision on the pitch, alongside his successful career in Europe and with the Brazilian national team.

Philippe Coutinho announced in February that he was leaving Vasco da Gama, confirming that the time had come to end his chapter with the club after a period spent there.

Philippe Coutinho has previously played for FC Barcelona, Liverpool, Vasco da Gama, Aston Villa, Al-Duhail SC, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan, and his move to Santos comes as he returns to Brazilian football.
