Fathi Sanad said on Facebook: "Light training for Zamalek to avoid fatigue from the long trip to Polokwane, which is about 330 kilometers from Johannesburg. Zamalek did not travel on a private plane for the first time in years."
Zamalek will face South African side Kaizer Chiefs next Sunday in the second round of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The match between Zamalek and ZESCO United from Zambia in the first round of the tournament ended with a 1-0 victory for the White Knights, with the goal scored by Tunisian star Seifeddine Jaziri.
