Ahmed Fawzi, former Al Ahly star, confirmed that the competition for the Egyptian Premier League title this season will be limited to Al Ahly and Pyramids.

Fawzi said on the program "El Primo" on Ten TV: "The severe financial crisis currently affecting Zamalek will keep them from competing for titles this season, due to players not receiving their overdue payments, in addition to the transfer ban and the many issues plaguing the club's board of directors. Moreover, the quality of players at the White Castle does not match that of Al Ahly and Pyramids."

He continued: "Al Ahly and Pyramids have an exceptionally strong group of players across various positions, both starters and substitutes. They are also more stable than Zamalek, so the competition for the league title this season will be between them."

Zamalek is currently facing a major financial crisis, and the players have not received their overdue payments.
