Arsenal star Declan Rice appeared in press statements following the 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage, held at the Emirates Stadium.

The player said in his interview: "Look at Bayern Munich this season, they have been the best team in Europe. This was probably the toughest tactical match we've played this season. The way they operate is truly amazing."

He added: "We went for man-to-man marking in the second half, and I think we were excellent tonight. The coach is very happy. It was a special European night."

He emphasized: "Yes, I definitely feel that it is different from last season. There are many leaders in the team. We are taking it step by step. There is hunger and a desire to win every match. The road is still long—let's not get carried away."

He added: "Playing alongside Martín Zubimendi was extremely easy. From the very first moment we were together during the preparation period, I felt that we would play great football. I really like him; he is a very kind person. He wears the number 6 jersey for the Spanish national team, and you know how Spanish number 6 midfielders are. He has been fantastic for us."

He concluded: "Every match requires something different. And every player knows their role perfectly."
