Sunderland and Brentford Monitor Santiago Jiménez's Future with Milan
Thursday 27-11-2025
Football Italia revealed that Mexican striker Santiago Jiménez, a player for Milan, has become the focus of interest from English clubs Sunderland and Brentford during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Jiménez, who joined Milan in January 2025 in a deal exceeding 30 million euros, is struggling to adapt to the team, having scored only seven goals in 30 matches across all competitions since his transfer, while netting just one goal in the Italian Cup this season in 11 appearances.

The Mexican striker is currently sidelined due to an ankle injury and is expected to miss the next Serie A match against Lazio, as he continues training separately from his teammates.

The source indicated that Sunderland is among the most interested clubs in signing Jiménez, while Brentford and the Turkish team Fenerbahçe are also monitoring the player, reflecting growing European interest in him.

Milan's management is leaning towards selling Jiménez in January for a sum close to his purchase price, aiming to create an opportunity to sign a new striker capable of leading the attack next season.
