AC Milan and AS Roma battle for Yasin Al Ayari

AC Milan and AS Roma have entered a race to secure the services of Swedish midfielder Yasin Al Ayari, who plays for Brighton, amid growing interest in the player in recent times.

According to "Tuttosport", Ayari has become a target for several Serie A clubs after impressing with Brighton. AS Roma had shown interest in the player several months ago, but they were unable to reach an agreement to sign him.

Meanwhile, AC Milan have entered the competition strongly, seeing in Al Ayari a suitable option to replace Luka Modrić in midfield in the long term, especially with Ardon Jashari not yet succeeding in making a clear impact with the team.

The player is 23 years old and has a contract with Brighton until June 2027, with the possibility of extending it for an additional year, which may give the two Italian clubs a chance to negotiate a relatively lower deal. He joined Brighton in January 2023, before going on loan to Coventry and Blackburn.
