Gross's Dues Cause Zamalek's Suspension
Reports revealed that the decision of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to suspend Zamalek Club from registration for three consecutive periods is due to a new financial crisis related to the dues of the club’s former Swiss coach, Christian Gross.
According to the 'Kora Plus' website, the amount of Gross's overdue dues, which reach 600,000 dollars, was the direct reason for FIFA's recent decision, as Zamalek's management must urgently pay it to lift the suspension and allow the club to register new players.
This decision comes after a series of suspensions that Zamalek faced in recent weeks due to various cases related to the dues of Portuguese coach Jose Gomes and his assistants, as well as Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi, exacerbating the club's administrative and financial struggles.
Zamalek is currently under severe financial pressure, especially after the decision to withdraw the 6th of October land from the club, while the management is currently working to secure the necessary liquidity to resolve the registration crisis before the upcoming winter transfer window in January.
