Salah Eldin Mosaddak Sparks a New Crisis at Zamalek
Moroccan defender Salah Eldin Mosaddak has sparked a new crisis within Zamalek Club after sending an official notice to the club announcing the unilateral termination of his contract, protesting the delay in receiving his financial dues for several months. This move further complicates the financial crisis the team is currently facing.
Reports revealed that the player's agent had previously sent a warning letter, citing FIFA regulations that grant players the right to terminate their contracts if they do not receive their salaries within the legal timeframe. After the deadline given to the management expired without any resolution, Mosaad decided to activate the clause and officially terminate the contract.
Zamalek's management is currently taking steps to quickly contain the situation, as they prepare to hold a meeting with the player and his agent following the team's match against Zambia's ZESCO in the Confederation Cup, hoping to reach an agreement that will bring the Moroccan defender back to the team.
The management's proposal relies on offering a portion of his overdue payments, especially given the ongoing registration ban that prevents the club from signing a replacement.
Mossadek (27 years old) joined Zamalek during the last winter transfer window, coming from Morocco's Nahdat Zemamra on a contract lasting three and a half seasons. Although his appearances have recently declined for technical reasons, the Moroccan defender remains one of the key players the management is counting on as part of their project for the upcoming seasons.
