Ahmed Abdel Raouf: We Will Fight in Every Match to Achieve Victory and Present a Performance Worthy of Zamalek
Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the technical director of Zamalek, spoke about the match against ZESCO United from Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Zamalek will face ZESCO tomorrow, Sunday, as part of the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Ahmed Abdel Raouf said at the press conference before the match: "Tomorrow's game will be dedicated to the spirit of Mohamed Sabry. We aim to deliver a great performance, and the players will give their utmost effort for the spirit of the late star."
He added: "Zamalek is in a prestigious and tough group, and every team in the group has a reputation on the continent. Zamalek is a big name aiming to compete strongly in the tournament, and we will approach every match with the goal of winning and delivering a performance worthy of Zamalek Club."
He added: "Zamalek players have the experience in handling pressure, and the match against Zesco is very important because it is at the beginning of the group stage journey."
Abdel Raouf spoke about the team's injuries, saying: "Zamalek has already played three matches in 10 days and lost key players. This issue will be managed better, and all players are fully ready for the upcoming match."
He added: "Chico Panza is a player on the team and informed us of his brother's death, providing us with the death certificate. Also, Oushing Baron was delayed due to flight circumstances, and we are dealing with the situations that the players are facing."
He concluded: "We need to be patient in judging Egyptian coaches, because there are coaches at the highest level who require patience."
